What Hawaiian island is the best place to get married during the month of December or January?
Some people say Oahu is too crowded, etc. but my husband and I got married on the beach there and had our honeymoon afterward. You CAN get away from the tourists if you want to (get outside of the Honolulu/Waikiki downtown area). And, when you do want all the tourist attractions, they’re not far away. I personally think Oahu was the best choice for a first time visit to Hawaii, with plenty of stuff to do, and for our “quiet time away” we rented a condo near the beach rather than staying in a hotel in the downtown area. And the wedding location was beautiful. If you decide to do this, we used the wedding planners at http://www.wedaloha.com – they walked us through everything start to finish, had several locations to choose from (or pick your own), had a package for every budget, and the pictures were phenomenal.
