What have Easter eggs got to do with easter?
Eggs symbolise new life or a new beginning, which is what supposedly happened when Jesus was crucified and then supposedly came back to life. Also, the hollowness of the eggs are supposed to symbolise that the cave Jesus was entombed in was left empty after he supposedly rose from the dead. EDIT: I’m assuming the person who thumb-downed this answer is a christian who thumb-downed because of my use of the word ‘supposedly’. Well whoever it was, I’d just like to make it clear to you that I myself am agnostic, and I put it this way because I accept that it could have happened but I’m not completely convinced.
