What have been the highlights and lowlights over that time?
I would say the biggest highlight for me was between 1990 and 1995 when Adelaide really took it’s shape within the dance music scene in many ways. There was so much enthusiasm from punters, DJ’s, producers, and so many people clued up to the music ventured out every week filling the dance clubs on offer on Friday and Saturday nights. The underground shows amongst various circles of people were some of the best times I have had in my life in the industry and the music and creativity will never be surpassed with so many anthem tunes. The lowlights would have to be how Adelaide has completely changed in the last 6 years and the general demands of today’s clubber are totally different and the enthusiasm and weekly support just isn’t there every week with now many less clubs around and more bars and pubs getting the numbers targeting commercial crowds.
