What has the subboard done for me, lately?
The required passing score for the MOC examination was reassessed by the subboard in May, 2007. The new (lower) number was applied as of the Fall 2007 examination and will be used for all subsequent MOC tests. The subboard has had extensive discussion regarding content differences between certification and MOC exams, particularly with respect to level and type of detail appropriate to each exam. Furthermore, the subboard has started to write questions that are designated specifically for the MOC pool, and is now specifying new questions as suitable for the certification pool, MOC pool, or both.
