WHAT HAS THE RESPONSE BEEN FROM GOVERNMENTS & INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS?
We have been quite overwhelmed with the reaction by governments and international organisations. The Ethiopian ambassadors in Washington, London and Berlin came to our premieres and released statements urging people to see BLACK GOLD. The EU, World Bank and House of Commons held a special screening of the film while international organisations around the world are using it as a tool to campaign and communicate their message.
