Full rail service has been restored on the Gladstone Branch, after a downed tree damaged the overhead wires this morning, NJ Transit reports. “Everything is back to normal,” said NJ Transit spokeswoman Courtney Carroll. The tree damaged the wires shortly before 7 a.m. and service was suspended sbetween Gladstone and Summit, Carroll said. At 8:45 a.m., service was restored between Bernardsville and Summit with delays of up to 30 minutes, Carroll said. Customers at Gladstone, Peapack and Far Hills were bused to and from Bernardsville station, she said. Sources: http://www.nj.com/news/local/index.ssf/2009/07/nj_transit_reports_service_res.
