I assume you’re talking about a standard, not a family-sized packet of crisps. A 24g pack of ready salted crisps has around 125 calories. Fewer than a sandwich but of course not as healthy. The cheese sandwich: on two medium slices of white bread (150 cal), with about an ounce of cheese (114 cal) and a scraping of butter (40 cal) is going to be around 300 calories. You could halve the cheese (and/or using a lower calorie cheese) and add no butter but mustard instead, use a lower cal brand of bread like wholewheat Nimble (96 cal for 2 slices), add salad greens and tomatoes, you could have a sandwich for 200 calories BUT with much more nutritional benefit than plain cheese on white. Brands of crisps like Quavers or Skips are much lower in calories and fat (about 80 cal per packet) and if you’re like me and want your cake AND eat it, so to speak, if you take the healthy sandwich option you can have those as well, and call it lunch.
