What has Medicity done to ensure the security of the site?
In tandem with Medicity’s strong privacy policy, the Medicity network is also protected against intrusive access to member and patient information. Medicity has developed a secure network through the use of firewalls, encryption and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to protect sensitive information and meet the proposed HIPAA standards. Medicity is actively engaged in continuous efforts to improve and promote Internet healthcare security through its charter membership in the 11-19 Working Group. Medicity is committed to the 11-19 Working Group’s mission, which is to develop and firmly establish security standards for Internet-based healthcare information transactions.
