What has happened to Community Foundations during the last 90 plus years?
Community foundations are the fastest growing sector of philanthropy today. There are nearly 700 of them in communities all across the United States holding approximately $39.4 billion in assets. The community foundation model has spread throughout the world, including the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand, Canada and Mexico, Eastern and Western Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet Republics and is rapidly expanding across Africa.
