Furman has expanded no-mow areas on campus and is increasing the use of organic fertilizers and other amendments on campus. Furman now operates a completely organic athletic field (the intramural field near North Village) and is working to decrease the use of conventional fertilizers and pesticides on campus while maintaining the beautiful grounds for which Furman is known.
