What has changed?
Based on definitions provided by the IRS, we concluded that Bright House Networks Digital Phone service was exempt from this tax because we offer bundled local and long distance calling for either a flat monthly fee or a charge that varies with the elapsed transmission time for which the service is used. Bright House Networks removed this tax from your bill by the July 31st, 2006 deadline.
The return: • A new Account Balance field: the new RST return will show your “Account Balance” (i.e., the amount owing or the credit balance on your account). The account balance will be displayed on the working copy of the return. The balance shown will be as of the date your return was printed. • A new line (Line 7) – Payment Amount: this is the total amount of your payment in Canadian funds. It should be equal to the Total Tax Due (Line 6) plus any outstanding balance owing or minus any credit balance. • The Adjustment Line (currently Line 6) will be removed from the return. You will be able to request an amended return to make an adjustment to a previously filed return. You can also continue to make amendments in writing, by phone, at one of our tax offices or through your financial institution’s Internet banking service. For those who have already had the brochure of the event for some time, not much has changed, other than the dates and the acceptance of mixed crews (as in the 1970s). For those who first learnt about the event at the Rtromobile motor show, we hope that this postponement will give you a chance to join us, since the deadline for entry has now been put back to 1st July, 2000. The regulations of this regularity event remain the same, so all you have to do is return the entry form contained in the brochure, specifying whether you wish to enter in the 100% female category or the mixed category. If you no longer have these documents, another brochure will be sent to you upon request by telephone or e-mail. All the crews which had already entered have confirmed that they will be with us in September. We hope that this postponement will also enable all those who learnt about the event at the Rtromobile motor show to join us and sign up before the 1st July deadline for entries.
