What has been the worst genocide in the last 100yrs?
Genocide is the mass killing of many people at the orders of a dictator. The 20th century excelled in such mass murderers, not all of whom had the same targets. There is almost no difference in blameworthiness amongst Hitler, Stalin, Mau and Pol Pot who, because of their general insanity, killed more millions than I care to think about. We should not forget, either, the mass killings of people like Idi Amin and Saddam Hussien who made up, if not in numbers, but in hatred. There is no hope at al for us if we don’t learn from all this and recognise the danger we still stand in.
