What has been the NAALCs most important contribution?
The NAALC has promoted international scrutiny and oversight of labor rights and conditions in all three countries. Extensive cooperative activities and exchange programs have brought governments, labor organizations, employers, non-governmental organizations, academia, and the public together on important labor matters. More broadly, implementation of the Agreement offers a basis upon which the three NAFTA partners can continue trilateral cooperative consultations on labor issues of mutual interest at the highest levels within their governments.
