What has been a big turning point for India in the last 60 years?
I feel that the growth in the IT sector and the burgeoning of industries has been the turning point for us. This had changed the way the world looks at us. Earlier when we used to visit America we did not have any importance. Today, if we go the US we are treated with respect because our engineers, programmers and professionals have become an indispensable part of the US. Today, when people are able purchase all essential household items, they are unable to buy a house? It’s because of the laws that we made. We should have observed the growth of our cities and planned our roads, work space accordingly. But see what we have done. We are wiping out villages to make cities. We need rules that will improve our cities and make them worth living. The last decade has seen real estate prices rising more than they rose over the 50 years before that. And after half a century of independence many are still homeless. Whom do you blame for this? I blame our leaders and government officials. Take aw
