What hardware/software is needed on the attorneys end to use ECF?
You need to have access to the Internet (world wide web), Netscape Navigator version 4.7 or higher, and Adobe Acrobat Exchange. (Support for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is expected later.) If you use a modem to connect to your Internet service provider, we recommend one with a speed of at least 56k. We would further like to recommend the use of a DSL or cable modem line in lieu of a standard telephone line. Due to security needs, a session only can be established using Netscape Navigator 4.7 or higher. DO NOT USE America On Line’s version of Netscape Navigator, or a version of Netscape Navigator lower than 4.7.
