What hardware do I need to run the Voicent products?
First, you need to decide what type of phone service you are going to use. If you use regular phone line, you must install a voice modem on your computer to connect the computer to the phone line. It must be analog phone line. Analog phone lines are mostly residential lines, fax lines, corporate PBX systems with analog converter. If you use VOIP services like Vonage or MagicJack that provide a voice terminal, you must install a voice modem on your computer to connect to the voice terminal. If you use SKYPE, you do not a voice modem. All you need is a broadband Internet connection. Your computer should be at least Pentium IV with 512 Meg of memory or more. If you use Voicent Natural Text-to-Speech, you need at least a Pentium IV computer with 1.5 Gig of memory. Your computer should be at least Pentium III with 512 Meg of memory or more. If you use Voicent Natural Text-to-Speech, you need at least a Pentium IV and additional 1GB of memory.
