What happens with the existing abutments?
All existing abutments have a laser marking “C/” since October 2008. The tapered connection has also been somewhat shortened with all abutments with the “long” tapered connection (i.e. Standard system, Balance Base, ball anchor, sulcus former Standard compact and Balance posterior) to prevent collision with the index. The product numbers remain the same but “C/” is added to the name of the product on the label (e.g. Standard abutment “C/” a/3.0/6.0).
