What happens when two air masses meet?
When two air masses meet, they do not necessarily combine. What happens is, they usually form a front. This could be a cold front, a warm front or even a stationary front. A stationary front usually does not move. A cold front will usually bring in much colder air from the north. The warm from will usually brings in warmer air. Thunderstorms usually accompany these fronts.
