What happens when things wear out and need to be replaced within the Capitol building?
As the seat of government for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Capitol endures wear and tear each day from the hundreds of legislators and staff who work in the building, along with droves of visitors that number in the thousands annually. The Committee in partnership with the Department of General Services works diligently to preserve the historical integrity of the building as well as its contents. Each instance where a repair is needed requires individual thought and measures to be taken.
