What happens when there is a missing Locational Marginal Price (LMP) for a Resource, Load Zone or Hub?
If Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) is running, then there should not be a situation when a LMP for a resource is not determined. The test Network Operations Model (NOM) is used to confirm LMP calculator (SCED) performance before updating the real-time NOM. Thus, LMP calculation will be tested with new or revised network changes to limit any solution issues with NOM changes prior to being used in real-time. In any event that an LMP calculator cannot resolve a node LMP in real-time, causing a SCED failure, it will be treated in accordance with the Protocol where the previously calculated values for the missing intervals will be used until SCED calculation recovers.
