What happens when the number of registered aircraft reaches the limit of authorized aircraft?

Although there is a maximum number of seventy-five (75) aircraft that can actually fly the mass arrival, there is no limit to the number of pilots and aircraft that can register. We encourage every pilot who is considering to fly the arrival to register. There is always a number of registered pilots, approximately 20%, that fail to show up for the final brief. We select the first seventy-five (75) registered pilots who show up for the final brief and who meet the prior training requirements to actually fly the mass arrival.
