New Visual effects shots will be labeled differently, and have different source time-code, so they will not relate to the previous EDL. Picture Editors usually retain the older visual effects shots by dropping them to another video track. When requesting EDLs from the picture department, ensure that you request EDLs for ALL video layers/tracks.
