What happens when the Cerner system goes down?
Cerner downtime can be scheduled or unscheduled. In the event that Cerner goes down and orders cannot be processed through Powerchart; then a London Laboratory Services Group requisition must be filled in if STAT bloodwork is required. It is important that only STAT orders be processed. When the computer is back up, regular orders can be processed.
