If you are synchronizing files with long file names, then you must use Maxell Data Compression Software for Windows 95. However, if all files being synchronized have the DOS standard 8.3 file format, then they can be synchronized using either Maxell Data Compression Software for Windows 3.1 or Maxell Data Compression Software for Windows 95. It is recommended use of DOS’s standard 8.3 file format on all PCs so long as you are using a mix of PCs running Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.
