Urine is sterile and poses no risk. When feces enter the pool, the pool shall be closed and all bathers removed. The contaminating feces shall be removed. The water chemistry shall be checked. If the sanitizer levels are safe the pool should remain closed for 60 minutes. If the sanitizer level is off the pool shall remain closed until it is corrected and 60 minutes has lapsed. If the contamination is diarrhea the pool shall close, superchlorination shall take place, and the pool must remain closed for 24 hours and then open if sanitizer levels are acceptable.
