What happens when my pending transactions don’t match the actual charges?

In some cases, you may notice that the pending amount of a transaction doesn’t match the actual amount of the transaction. This generally occurs when a merchant requests a hold against your Available Balance to ensure that funds are available for the transaction. If an actual purchase is made, the merchant will send the transaction, and the debit will post for the correct amount within 3 bank business days. In some cases, you might not be able to reconcile your available balance with the ending posted balance and the total of your pending transactions. This can occur because either a hold was placed on a deposited check, or a deposit was made and the entire amount is not immediately available.
