What happens when my message encounters a busy line, no answer, a faxmachine or an answering machine?
When the system tries to deliver your message to a phone number, and the line is busy or there is no answer, TeleMessage will try again after 5 minutes. If the same thing happens, TeleMessage will try calling a third time 10 more minutes later. If for the third time the line is busy or no one answers, TeleMessage will send you an e-mail notifying you that it couldn’t reach the phone number. If TeleMessage recognizes that a fax machine answered the call, it will notify you of this. If TeleMessage encounters an answering machine, it will play a short “Please Wait” message and music over the answering machine prompt and then relay the message. Please note that a part of the “Please Wait” message and music may be heard on the answering machine recording.
