What happens when my message encounters a busy line, no answer, a fax machine or an answering machine?
When the system tries to deliver your message to a phone number, and the line is busy or there is no answer, One to Many Messaging will try again after 5 minutes. If the same thing happens, it will try calling a third time 10 more minutes later. If for the third time the line is busy or no one answers, it will send you a return message notifying you that it couldn’t reach the phone number. If One to Many Messaging recognizes that a fax machine answered the call, it will notify you of this and will try again. If it encounters an answering machine, it will play a short “Please Wait” message over the answering machine prompt and then relay the message. Please note that a part of the “Please Wait” message may be heard on the answering machine recording.
