I just recall having to memorize a lot of ancient dates and remote places that seemed to have little importance today. But a time came in my life when history suddenly became fascinating to me. It was when I understood how history relates to the prophetic events in the Bible. A whole new world opened up to me. It was enthralling. Historical events now became valuable evidence that the Bible was inspired by God—and prophecy provided a framework for history—covering the past, present and even the future!
