What happens when I make a service request to CSOps (e.g., send email to trouble)?

• A: If CSOps determines that your request has to do with something that’s covered under Basic Service, they will service your request, keep track of the time and other costs involved, and assign those to the BSU tracking category. You will not be charged. Otherwise, CSOps may refuse to service the request, or optionally it mayrequest a speedtype before servicing the request and bill the time and other costs to that account at the custom services rate. If, after closer examination, the problem turns out to be related to Basic Services, you will not be charged. If you disagree with CSOps’s classification of your request, or if you do not wish to provide a speedtype for your request, you may petition the Department Chair for a final decision.
