What happens when Government air quality thresholds are exceeded?
The Government has set two thresholds with regard to air pollution and public health, the information threshold and the alert threshold. Should air pollution levels rise above the information threshold, the Government recommends that details of the incident are provided to those people potentially sensitive to air pollution.
