What happens when an email is blocked ?
If the email is blocked because it contains a virus, the message is dropped and no alert is sent. If the email is blocked for Spam filtering reasons, the email is not delivered to your inbox but remains accessible to the Systems Administrator for a 30 day period and can be delivered to you . To ensure that the blocking does not reoccur, there are several options available to you, if you trust the sender you can add their address to your own whitelist and ask them to resend. The first step is to log the incident with your IT Service Desk (for ITS customers this is x4357 option 2, for non ITS customers please see your local IT helpdesk for the Systems Administrator to investigate the delivery of the email from the blocked store, you can alternately choose to add the sender to your own whitelist and ask them to resend.
