What happens when a wolfdog is brought to the attention of the WRN?
When someone requests help in rehoming a wolfdog, that request is sent over the network, in the hopes that one of our rescuers can help or may know someone else who can. Our rescuers don’t usually have room to foster more animals though, and foster homes elsewhere are usually full as well, so chances are the wolfdog will be staying where it is while the network members try to find a new home for it. Even when no one in our network can actually take the wolfdog in though, we will still try to arrange for a network member to go down and meet the wolfdog in person, so we can more accurately evaluate its temperament (which makes it easier for us to find a suitable home for that wolfdog). If the animal absolutely cannot stay where it is, we try to arrange temporary foster elsewhere.
