What happens when a waiver request is tabled?
Whenever the SBOE makes a decision to deny a waiver request, there is no opportunity for a reconsideration for the same waiver. Therefore, the SBOE may choose to table your waiver request and not make a decision. This provides you an extended opportunity to improve your waiver request with additional or updated information or participate in additional remediation activities and retake the test(s) for which the waiver is requested. If the SBOE denies my waiver request, how do I appeal their decision? Georgia law allows you to appeal the decision of the SBOE through your local Superior Court.
