What happens when a purchase is made by clicking a PayPal ‘Buy Now’ button?
When a site visitor chooses to pay for an item from this site, she’ll click the corresponding PayPal button to begin the transaction process. A PayPal Payment Details page will open in the browser window, displaying information about the transaction she is about to begin and prompting her to sign in to her existing PayPal account or create a new account. If she does not currently have a PayPal account or wishes to use Visa or Mastercard, she can follow the instructions to complete Shipping and Billing information to complete a credit card transaction. Once she has signed in to or created an account, she will see a more detailed payment page on which she can review details of the transaction and enter shipping and other information, if applicable. To complete the transaction and submit payment for the item, she’ll click the “Pay” button at the bottom of the page.
