What happens when a project finishes?
The IRB will send the principal investigator an automated email renewal reminder approximately 60 days prior to the expiration of approval for a given application. This email is also the Principal Investigator’s reminder to inform the IRB that the research project has finished. The IRB requires principal investigators to formally close their research projects by notifying the IRB administrator that the project is closed and submitting a final report for the project. X.
