What happens to waste when you flush the toliet, i mean how does the septic tank thing work?
The waste products go to the holding tank (septic) from there naturally occuring bacterias begin to break down the solid wastes by consuming them, you can also suppliment this action by adding a product like Ridex once a month or so. The liquids eventually flow down the leach lines and percolate back into the soil and eventually the groundwater just like it does in nature.
