What happens to waste at MXIs facilities?

MXI Environmental Services operates a Distilled Spirits Plant (DSP) and Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) that allows us to receive, process, and recycle ethanol and ethanol based products. This permit coupled with the exemption for ethanol removes the ethanol from Hazardous Waste Regulations. MXI process recycles all packaging to include glass, aluminum, plastic, and cardboard. The liquids are removed from the packaging in specially designed processing equipment. The liquids are processed to recycle and refine the alcohol into fuel grade ethanol, a high octane automotive fuel which reduces our country’s reliance on imported oil.
