What happens to US mail that is addressed to Santa Claus, North Pole?
I live in North Pole, Alaska. Yes, there really is city called “North Pole”, it is 4 square miles in size and has it’s own police & fire department, mayor, city council, EVERYTHING! Many local post offices take it and have a group of volunteers answer them, but many wind up way up here in the city of North Pole and one of our local volunteers respond. We also have the Santa Claus House where they get thousands upon thousands of letters to Santa Claus every year and hundreds of volunteers reply to them and send them back with the North Pole postmark on them. Another thing you can do is go to: http://www.santaclausehouse.com… the home page tells you exactly how to get a letter (with or without a picture) from Santa and that they have sent over 1 million letters to children all over the world. You can also buy other items sold from the store. It’s great. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
