The Sanitary sewer system within Canton is continuously changing as development progresses. The sanitary flow from the community flows to a regional collection and pumping system operated by the Western Township’s Utilities Authority (WTUA). From this facility, the flows are directed accordingly to the DWSD waste water treatment facility and to the Ypsilanti communities waste water treatment facility.
