What happens to the student if they fail in practice?
The decision to fail a student in practice is not one to be taken lightly. Likewise to fail to make such a judgement may mean that an unsafe student is allowed to join the professional register. If a student does fail in practice they will be afforded the opportunity to re-take the assessment following the identification and recording of specific areas of development and an action plan. It is important that when a decision to fail a student is taken that the documentation relating to this is strictly accurate and complete. For advice on this please contact your Practice Facilitator.
