What happens to the Paralegal Profession Act (HB 957 and SB 922) now that the NC State Bar has adopted the Plan for Paralegal Certification?
APPS requested its bill sponsors, Senator Tony Rand and Representative Rick Glazier to withdraw the Paralegal Profession Act and to assist in the passage of HB356 which contained the regulatory changes to NCGS 84-23 and 84-37. HB356 was ratified on July 16, 2004 giving the NC State Bar the authority to regulate NC Certified Paralegals.
