What happens to the old water coolers?
The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive is new European legislaton that requires that all electrical equipment is recycled as much as possible at the end of the equipment’s productive life. We are now required to have a licensed contractor collect and ispose of water coolers ensuring about 80% of the unit is recycled. This is to ensure that the practice of disposing of equipment in landfill sites is kept to a minimum.
