What happens to the old courthouse after the court moves into the new courthouse?
The AOC and the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency, which owns the proposed site, propose an exchange of properties. The AOC will acquire the proposed project site, and the redevelopment agency will acquire the existing courthouse and its land. The redevelopment agency has informed the AOC that the city has no intention of occupying the old courthouse building. The redevelopment agency will announce plans for the building at a later date.
