What happens to the email and letters?
Viewer feedback about the NewsHour is very important to us, and we encourage your comments. Email comments are distributed daily to NewsHour producers and correspondents. We do not edit the messages except to remove personal information such as street addresses and telephone numbers (to protect your privacy). If you found the PBS NewsHour through the PBS website and would like to know more about the PBS privacy policy, click here. Due to the high volume of email we receive, the NewsHour is generally unable to respond to individual questions or comments, confirm receipt of a message, or post all viewer correspondence on the Web. Please note: For security reasons, all emails with file attachments are automatically deleted. These include JPEG image files, text files, executable code such as .EXE or .VBS files, “vCards” and forwarded messages sent as attachments. Solicitations, encrypted emails, or messages containing expletives (literal or implied) also are deleted.
