Most of our plastic waste used to end up in China where they use it for some purpose or other. Cannot see what’s so ‘green’ about sending ship loads of plastic waste all the way from UK to China. Modern plastics are very often so full of ‘potato starch’ that they simply melt away once thrown into a landfill site somewhere. Oops, don’t mention landfill! bad, bad and badder. Why? Landfill has enabled both the Dutch and the England to reclaim vast expanses of land from the sea. What twaddle some folk go on about. Rant over – now lets see if I can find that pile of plastic we sent to Chine.
