What happens to Police Horses when they do retire?
A. We have a lot of people writing to us asking for retired Police Horses. When a horse is due to retire, we check the list and contact the most suitable person. Once they and their stables have been checked the horse is retired. Rodney is now living in a stable near the seaside in Cornwall. He sends us post cards and tells us that he is having fun paddling in the sea! Some of the Officers here on the Mounted Branch have retired Police Horses too. Well, I hope that has helped.
