What happens to petitions after their public hearings?
A.Below is a description of each type of petition that goes before the Plan Commission or the BZA. If a petition has been heard and you want to check its decision or status, contac the Planning Department. Annexation. If a recommendation has been made by the Plan Commission regarding an annexation, the proposal is then forwarded to the City Council (the legislative body) who then makes the final decision at their public meeting. Rezoning. If a recommendation has been made by the Plan Commission regarding a zoning amendment, the proposal is then forwarded to the City Council (the legislative body) who then makes the final decision at their public meeting.
