What happens to other channels if the network only needs a single channel?
The other channels are left free for use in additional Virtual Cells. Multiple Virtual Cells can be layered in the same physical space, each cell using a different channel and providing as much bandwidth density as the first. In this way, network capacity scales linearly with the number of radios. When layered channels are available, Meru controllers automatically load balance clients among Virtual Cells.
