What happens to my system settings on my booster system if there is a power failure? Does the controller have a battery back-up?
If you experience a power outage, all of the settings you’ve entered via the touch screen will be retained for approximately 7 days, depending on ambient temperatures. The PLC uses what is referred to as a ‘super capacitor’ to keep the memory powered for a brief period of time. If the power outage last longer than 7 days, the factory settings are preserved in non-volatile EEPROM memory and will be returned on powering up. If the settings had been adjusted from the factory settings, they would have to be re-entered upon power-up.
